松代お泊り編ルポその２
前回に引き続き、松代お泊り編の後半をUPしまーす。
夕食はみんなでわいわいとカレー作り・・・なんて考えてたんですが、キッチンが狭かったのでスタッフの樋口さんにほぼ仕込んできてもらいました。
いろんなスパイスを組み合わせた本格的なタイ風カレー、キーマカレー、ダルスープ。
それに、スタッフの知り合いの方から差し入れの野菜や柿なども食卓をにぎわしました。
ありがとうございました。
食後は、これまた樋口さんの手作りのパウンドケーキにチャイまたはコーヒー。
そして翌日の長国寺のお勤め体験の概要を山本さんが動画で説明してくれました。
そして、早起きのためにみなさん就寝・・・
せずに、地元のホルモン焼き屋さんに消えていく人たち数名あり・・・
朝４時に誰かの目覚ましがなり、５時に長国寺に行き、まずは座禅（約２０分）。
住職（梅翁院の住職で長国寺も管理されてる）の説明を聞きながら、実際に修行されている僧侶たちと同じ時間（本来３０分くらい）、ただ座ります（しかも壁に向かって）。
肩にバーン！とやってほしい気持ちも半分ありながら、寒くてみんな着込んでいてたため、それはなし。
みなさん何を考えていたのでしょう・・・
その後、お経。
座禅は興味ありワクワクして時間が早く終わってしまった感があったんですが、お経は寒さもひとしお、足もしびれてきました・・・
そしてお掃除。
床を掃くだけじゃなく、花瓶の水を取り替えたり、窓枠なども雑巾で拭いたりしました。
外も明るくなってきて、お待ちかね、朝ごはん！
布巾で包まれたお弁当箱のようなものが一人ひとつ用意されます。
「応量器」といって、自分の食べる分だけよそってもらう器です。
その布巾をほどき、端を折返しながらナフキンのようにし、中に重ねてある３つのおわんを音をたてずにひとつづつ横に並べます。
基本的に、私語は慎みます。
器の持ち方や置き方、すべて決まっています。
そして、おかゆをよそってもらうときにはさじを持ちながら器を前に出し、「もういい」というところでさじの先をちょっとあげます（写真はお漬物）。
その合図でよそうのをやめてくれます。
その日の食事は、おかゆ、ごま、昆布、漬物、おからの煮物、自家製りんごジュースでした。
早朝から寒さで縮こまってた胃にやさしいおいしさが広がりました。
食後はお湯を一番大きな器に入れ、へらで食べかすを落としながら次の器へ湯を移し、２回繰り返して器の水分も布巾でふき取ります。
もちろんすべて決まった動作でやります。
すべて終わったらまた元あったように器を重ね布巾で包みます。
修行僧は他のお寺に修行に行くときもマイ応量器を持ち歩き、常にきれいにしておくべき大切なものだそうです。
そして最後に手作りのおかきとお茶をいただきながら、住職や修行僧の方にお話をうかがったり、やっとなごやかな雰囲気になりました。
今回はいろいろと住職に説明していただきながら食事をいただきましたが、本来は「食を楽しむ」というより「すみやかに栄養を補給する」という時間（作業）です。
だから食べるスピードも決まっています。
住職のスピードに合わせ、速くても遅くてもダメ。
座禅から食事まで、これぞルーチンワークですね～
私たちのような素人が本当の修行の場にお邪魔させてもらうなんて、とても貴重な体験をさせていただきました。
が、お寺にとってはいつものようにスムーズに行かずご迷惑だったでしょうね。
重ね重ね、ありがたいことです。
今回修行されてた尼僧さんは韓国の方で、そのほかにも世界各国から修行に来られるそうです。
観光で体験だけじゃなく、本当に僧侶の資格をとりに来るそうです。
すがすがしい気分で布袋屋さんに戻り、最後にパチリ（すでに帰られた方もいます）。
